Parsimonious Spendthrift

Our first shopping spree together cost us about Eight Thousand bucks. Big deal, considering that the shopping wasn’t a pre-planned one. As though we didn’t have enough shopping libido in ourselves, each of us played a perfect catalyst to the other’s apparel selection role. The beauty was that I was more enthusiastic in finding things for him to buy and he the same way to me. In the process, he helped me cross the three thousand barrier in buying shoes – a Reebok with high ankles. To my dismay, the shop announced a flat 50% discount on all its products the very next week. How can I miss such a discount? Went there and bought another pair :)

PS: The title isn't an oxymoron. Our mind and actions are always at war!!!
